Bloganuary #22 – My Favorite Quote

“Life isn’t meant to be lived perfectly…but merely to be LIVED. Boldly, wildly, beautifully, uncertainly, imperfectly, magically LIVED.”

Mandy Hale

Now, I can’t say that I have always lived according to the creed cited in the quote above. I haven’t always been bold, in fact there have been times when I was just plain coward, there were days when I was uncertain as to whether I was “coming or going” and there was a period in my 20’s and 30’s where I foolishly tried to be a perfectionist, unsuccessfully I might add.

Sometimes we get so consumed by the everyday activities of life, we forget to just live. We run around with concerns about our kids, our bills, our jobs or whatever the case may be. We sometimes complicate matters by developing these unreasonable and unsustainable expectations in our heads of just how things should be done and in what order.

Luckily, I have lived long enough and have experienced some things that have made me realize that in the end taking care of life’s demands and our family and financial concerns are not the only things in life that matter. Self-care matters, being bold enough to advocate for ourselves matter, accepting that we’re not always going to have all the answers or even the questions matter, and sometimes even “dropping a ball or two” is okay. As the quote says, “life isn’t meant to be lived perfectly…”

At this stage of my life, I can honestly say, I am living life boldly, beautifully, uncertainly, imperfectly and loving it. There are also days when I manage to be a little wild and magical, as you can see below!

This video and Koffee’s song “Blessings” capture this quote perfectly?

    1. So true, overtime though I think we are forced to slow down. Hopefully we learn this lesson sooner than later. I only recently discovered Mandy and she does have some great quotes! Thanks again for reading.

  1. I lpve that quote. I find in 2021 my “living” was stiffled due to Covid restrictions etc but in 2022 as things begin to open back up … I am looking forward to enjoying life 😊 great post 🙏
