Cincinnati Blues

I’ve been in Cincinnati, Ohio since yesterday morning. If someone had told me a week ago that I would be in Cincinnati I would have asked ” what in heavens for?” However, lately I have acquired the knack and now I’m well on my way to mastering the art of “tagging along” on other people’s trips. It’s quite simple really, all you need is time, “ears to the ground” and “antennas up” while scoping for the next upcoming jaunt. Most importantly, you need to possess the ability to convince the “owner” of the trip that they would not want to go without you.

So being the master that I am at this, hello from Cincinnati! Let me tell you though, had I been a suspicious or even a less clueless person I would not be here. From the very start all the stars were properly aligned for me to not be here. I am not exaggerating when I say that all the things that could have possibly gone wrong, before we left, did.

Once we got here, things still continued to go south beginning with me leaving my knapp sack in the back of an uber with a driver who was “less than friendly.” What ever happened to southern hospitality. My knapp sack contains my laptop, my thumb drive with sensitive information, my glasses, my comb and brush among other things. So, two days into my trip I’m walking around half blind, and nappy headed wondering what the hell has happened to my laptop and my thumb drive that holds the key to my entire world. None of our efforts to contact the Uber driver or anyone from Uber have paid off at this point.

Still, I will not let that ruin our experience here in Cincinnati and why we’re here in the first place, since now it is quite obvious that I’m turning out to be more of an inconvenience distracting from the real reason for this trip. Looks like the gig could be up after this trip. So, yesterday we took a nap and woke up later to the night life of Cincinnati. Downtown Cincinnati is beautiful at night. Today is much better, I will share with you later, since I’m working from a borrowed laptop. Below are the highlights of the better parts of yesterday.

Bye from Cincinnati, see you tomorrow…maybe 😂…Sincerely Jan!

  1. I’ve always enjoyed going to Cincinnati, which is where my father was born. I hope you enjoy your time there and that your less-than-friendly Uber driver can be located and still has your stuff.

  2. This is funny: “Most importantly, you need to possess the ability to convince the “owner” of the trip that they would not want to go without you.” I’m glad to hear you got your bag back!

  3. 😁Oh definitely I can see you have mastered the art of tag along on people’s trips!! – Too funny! Well, I might want to learn how to do to – I hope that you get your bag with contents in-tact soon – at least try to have the most fun while you’re at it!

  4. Mental note…do NOT invite Jan on a trip lol Just kidding! I hope you find your stuff. The driver is supposed to contact you, so I’m sorry if he didn’t. My daughter lost her cellphone once and the guy brought it right back to her.

Anywho, your video is really nice! Even though I was born and raised in the midwest, for some reason, Ohio was never really on my radar.
